3 horses in top 10 at Tattersalls Horse Trials

Laura Collett Cooley Again at Tattersalls May 2015

We had the luck of the Irish for our week at Tattersalls horse trials, it is on the list of my favourite events and will continue to stay there now!

I took Pamero 4 “The Irish Field CCI3*” class with Cooley Again & Mr Bass in the “Cooley Farm CCIYH1* 6&7yo” class.

We arrived on Tuesday 26th May for Cooley Again & Mr Bass in the “Cooley Farm CCIYH1* 6&7yo” class trot up in the afternoon, first things first though, all the boys enjoyed a stretch of the legs after the long journey and some grass. Followed by the obligatory spin round Fairy House race course (home of the Irish Grand National)!

Wednesday 27th May
Cooley Again was a very good boy in his test scoring 46.1, with Mr Bass scoring 48.6 they both made little mistakes early on, but then tried really hard.

Thursday 28th May
Pamero did a nice test but a few mistakes and judges not loving him meant he finished on 49.

Friday 29th May
My clever babies Cooley Again and Mr Bass both flew round xc clear inside the time and are now lying 6th and 15th going into SJ tomorrow.

Saturday 30th May
Final phase with the babies SJ and I am over the moon with both my 7yo’s Cooley Again (pictured) and Mr Bass both jumped clear to finish 3rd and 8th in CCI*YH.

Later in the afternoon Pea gave me an amazing ride, there are no words to describe how superb Pamero was round the CCI*** cross country track, it was a typical Ian Stark track (big, bold & lots of ditches) but he went clear inside the time to move up to 8th.

Sunday 31st May
Our final day Thrilled with Pamero in the CCI***, he jumped super but one unlucky rail dropped us to 10th! He’s such a superstar and felt incredible all week.

So chuffed with my 3 boys… all finishing in the top 10 at Tattersalls, a great fun week – what more could I ask for.

I have a dream team supporting me with my sponsors, owners, mum and Harry. But Massive thanks must go to Zanie & Phillipa my top class grooms, the horses looked amazing all week, Zoe whom catered for everyone with seamless effort AND not forgetting those at home Ben, my yard manager who ran the yard all week and Chris & Gabbie who kindly rode Milo & Controe respectively for me.
