We are looking for a Head Groom to join our team, Full time (6 days a week), live in position (shared accommodation on site), Immediate start.
We are looking for someone to share yard duties which include all basic yard chores, care and who is also a competent/confident rider who can ride well on youngsters as well as fit event horses. As he / she will be required to hack and gallop the horses.
We need somebody to be able to take sole charge as & when required and use their initiative. Must be able to pull, clip, plait and take pride in turning out horses to a high standard for competition to assist travelling groom, be tidy and well organised around the yard. Previous experience working on a competition yard important – although the right attitude is even more important, as above all, we want someone willing to learn who is cheerful and happy around the yard!
Care of competition horses Novice up tp 4 Star, would be nice if you are a safe and confident HGV driver.
We are looking for someone who will be dedicated and committed to a string of high performance horses and willing to work alongside a talented young rider and help her achieve her goals.
