CAN AACHEN 2019 xc

I am writing this with very mixed emotions ? A split second decision has cost London 52 winning one of the biggest events in the world … he was been phenomenal all week – a PB in the dressage 22.9 and a clear SJ had us in the lead going into XC .. he was unreal and was bang on the time until the last combination on course where obviously I would ride it differently if I had the chance to do it again but at the time I thought I’d made the right decision ?

I’m counting down the days to being able to take on a world class field again. My team and I put in a lot of work to get London 52 to that level after the mishap at Bramham and we’re already planning ahead to build on what we learned today. When you lose a competition like Aachen it is extremely painful, but that’s what will fuel our progress. Ingrid must have been disappointed 12 months ago when she picked up a 20 pens and today was her day to get redemption. I will strive to ensure that we get ours …. onwards and upwards … ?

Thankyou to everyone who has been so supportive – it honestly means the world ?
